You're in Caring Hands

We make sure all our new patients feel welcome, safe, and taken care of. Your initial visit will be 60-90 minutes in length. During this visit, we will gather a detailed history of your physical and mental health history, including your medications, prior treatment, and current concerns. Getting to know you well is the most important element of a good treatment plan.  To request a first-time patient appointment with one of our providers, please complete the new patient inquiry form here. (Please note, at this time we only have space for new patients age 16 and over.)

Medication Management

Once we have gotten to know you and developed a diagnosis and treatment plans, the majority of visits will be for medication management. These visits will last approximately 30 minutes to give you adequate time to express your concerns and get your questions answered.

Therapy

In some cases, your treatment plan may include supportive psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy or (in limited cases) EMDR. While our practice does not primarily provide therapy, in select cases we may be able to provide both medication management and therapy.

Children & Teens

When caring for children and teens, we strive to get the most comprehensive view possible of the health and development of the child. Child evaluations take even longer than adult, so please plan accordingly. We may see your child more than once before agreeing on a diagnosis and treatment plan that is right for them. It is helpful to have information regarding a child's early development, school success, as well as records from the pediatric care provider. Letters from teachers, counselors, and parents who cannot attend the appointment can help us form the most balanced and comprehensive picture of your child. While we spend lots of time talking to the caregivers, please keep in mind that the child must also be present for each appointment, at least for part of the time.

Transgender Care

We provide gender-affirming care for all patients, and may work specifically with transgender patients suffering from gender dysphoria or needing assistance for psychiatric conditions arising from the chronic stress of transphobia. We utilize an informed-consent model of care, and can prescribe HRT in addition to other medications when necessary.

Pregnancy & Lactation Care

We believe that all parents deserve to have their mental health needs met, and that a risk/benefit calculation must be carefully made when deciding on medication use in pregnancy and lactation. We will collaborate with you to choose the safest combination of medication and complementary therapies to support your mental health during and after pregnancy.

Become a Patient

To request a new patient appointment with one of our providers, please complete the new patient inquiry form here.

Our team meets once a week to review new patient requests, and decide if we are a good fit for your needs. We also determine which provider has the best fit and soonest availability. Please allow 7-10 business days for a response to your inquiry, and be aware that due to high demand for psychiatric care at this time, there may be a 2-3 month wait for a new patient appointment. We apologize for this delay. If you have crisis needs, please see our resource page for immediate care suggestions.

Once you have submitted an intake form, please also submit the Consent for Treatment and Release of Records forms.
